Our Microgreens

LOCALLY GROWN

In 2​020, supply chain and logistics were adversely affected by COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions both regionally and globally. In order to minimise the disruption of food supply, we needed to think out of the box, for creative solutions to generate a home-grown supply of fresh produce to reduce our reliance on imports. This led to the birth of our range of microgreens, which are locally grown in Singapore.  

SUSTAINABILITY

One of the main areas which we wanted to focus on when developing our range of microgreens is sustainability. The pre-mix compost used for our microgreens has been specially formulated in-house and this eliminated the need for irrigation which is used in traditional methods. Low energy LED lighting, which generates a higher lumen and specific spectrum for the growth of microgreens were also used. This ensures that the microgreens sprout within much shorter time frame and also generates less heat in the process; which in turn leads to less air conditioning used in the entire process. 

Through technology, we are proud that we have increased our production, as well as achieved our goal to use less energy; offering customers in Singapore a range of quality microgreens with minimal carbon footprint impact.
